Questions

Frequently asked.

Is it safe to book directly without Airbnb?

Absolutely. Your host is a verified Airbnb Superhost with 415+ reviews and a 4.93 average rating. Booking direct simply means you communicate and pay the host directly instead of through the platform. You get the same cabin, the same host, and a lower total price.

How does payment work for direct bookings?

After you submit an inquiry, the host will confirm availability and send you a payment link. Payment is handled securely and you'll receive a booking confirmation with all the details before any charge is made.

What is the cancellation policy?

Direct bookings follow a similar policy to the Airbnb listings. The host will outline the terms clearly when confirming your booking. Reach out if you have specific concerns about your dates.

How do I get to the property?

The property is located in Seymour, Tennessee, about 25 minutes from the Smoky Mountains. The last quarter mile of the road is gravel. An SUV or truck is recommended, especially in wet weather. Sedans can make the drive but expect a bumpy finish.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Standard check-in is at 4 PM and check-out is at 11 AM. Each cabin uses a smart lock — you'll receive the door code on the day of check-in. If you need early check-in or a late check-out, just ask when you book.

Are pets allowed?

Pets are welcome at The Mountain-Top and The A-Frame. The Log Cabin does not allow pets. Please mention your pet when submitting your inquiry.

Can I book all three cabins for a large group?

Yes. All three cabins sit side-by-side on the same private ridge and can be booked together for groups up to 17 guests. This works great for family reunions, wedding parties, and multi-family trips. Use the inquiry form and select the group booking option.

What is that bug situation mentioned in the Airbnb listings?

There is an invasive Asian lady beetle that is present throughout the Smoky Mountains region. Every measure has been taken to keep them out of the cabins, but they can occasionally find their way in. They are harmless. This is true of nearly every cabin in the area.

Is WiFi available?

Yes, all three cabins have fast WiFi. It works well enough for remote work if needed, though the real temptation will be to put the laptop away.

What is nearby?

Pigeon Forge and Dollywood are about 20 minutes away. Gatlinburg is 30 minutes. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park entrance is 25 minutes, and Clingmans Dome is about 50 minutes. Douglas Lake is just 15 minutes for a quick swim.
